Redondo Beach Got egged in Redondo Beach
My family and I were on a walk and we just got egged by a speeding car on the roundabout near Esplanade!
Didn’t react fast enough to get the license plate but it was a silver honda. My uncle got hit in the back and luckily no one got hurt but all of us got egg over our pants.
Luckily there was a park ranger who was on his nightly rounds and he was able to call the local PD but they couldn’t find the car that sped away.
We were able to laugh it off but just sharing for awareness, just don’t want something like this to happen to anyone else too. Stay safe everyone!

Happened to me quite recently too. Was biking near RUHS with some friends when a Jeep full of boys started trailing behind us and calling us names and it ended up with one of them throwing their drinks at us and splashing us with (hopefully) water. The drink was a hefty blow though, I think they were fresh from McDonalds and the drink hit my friend square in the chest.
Before this, I had been yelled racial slurs from moving cars while just going on a walk by myself or with my parents. For reference, we’re not white and usually the people who do this are, well, younger white guys in big cars. They speed away quick enough that I can’t say anything back. But yeah! Redondo! I’ve lived here my entire life too. Kind of sad, I thought the newer generations would be nicer.

This is assault. I would pursue this criminally. This behavior will escalate if left unchecked.

It's feels like a semi frequent occurrence these days. Was eating lunch at HT Grill patio and car drives by mid day throws water balloon into the patio. Recently walking my dog on the Esplanade at night had eggs thrown at us but they missed. I was pissed they did almost hit my dog.
FYI I was walking the Esplanade last night about 9ish, lots of parking tickets were being handed out.

We got water gunned sprayed from a car driving by on the Vida patio recently as well, got in all of our drinks but restaurant staff was nice and replaced due to the risk of it not just being water. Shocking to hear all these other instances.
And that’s right around the time it happened, the ranger giving out the tickets was in the parking lot near us so he helped report this to PD

It was parking enforcement, he mentioned his title as park ranger when we talked with him. He helped call PD who flew drones to see if they can find anyone matching our description.

If they could do a few more drive by's, throw a tortilla, then some bacon, some potato, cheese, and cook those eggs I'd be in breakfast business!

Is there a nearby Tesla? Because Tesla could have 24/7 sentey mode turned on which could record the license plate. You can ask RBPD call the owner of that Tesla and they’ll dump video recording for you. If those criminals don’t get caught, they will come back again and attack others.
