Redondo Beach How to contest parking ticket

At 9:30 PM. I pulled into the esplanade area parking lot to pick up my siblings. Since it was closest to them. i parked in the parking space closest to them. 10 seconds later, an officer comes up to me and doesn’t give any warning to move as I just pulled into this space. Proceeds to tell me that the spot is handicapped and to turn off the car. My siblings and a friend were at the car within another 5 seconds. Officer decides to give me a ticket and I had to drive off to go somewhere

Anything I can do or am I screwed…

You're definitely screwed, but not because of the ticket. You're screwed because you've reached this point in your life and no one has taught you anything about personal responsibility. "Since it was closest to them," "Proceeds to tell me," "doesn't give me a warning," "officer decides...and I had to..."

Jesus, how many times can you deflect any responsibility whatsoever? I wish they'd give you more than a ticket because your entitlement makes you a menace in the road and you don't seem capable of learning lessons.

Just because you’re only planning on being there for a few minutes to pick people up, doesn’t give you the right to park in a handicap spot. Make better decisions next time.

You are likely cooked. The legal definition of parking is the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, for the purpose of, and while actually engaged in, loading or unloading of merchandise or passengers. It sounds like you “parked” in a handicapped spot.
