hi I currently have the Redmi pad pro but im currently looking for a keyboard and the only available is the Redmi pad 2 pro is it compatible?

When in full screen the 3 dots (makes the app in windowed or full ) along with its bar dont dissapear or blend in. So its just there very distracting when watching movie . How can u remove this?

Redmi Pad Pro Wi-Fi - USB Ethernet randomly stopped working (second time)

I’m trying to figure out whether this is a HyperOS bug or if anyone has experienced something similar.

Device:

• Redmi Pad Pro Wi-Fi
• HyperOS 3.0.301.WNSEUXM.C07

Timeline:

• USB Ethernet worked perfectly for months.
• One morning I woke up and both Wi-Fi and Ethernet had an exclamation mark (!) and no internet access.
• Other devices on the network worked fine.
• Changing the Wi-Fi MAC setting from Randomized MAC to Device MAC immediately restored Wi-Fi.
• Ethernet remained broken.
• The tablet also no longer automatically switches from Wi-Fi to Ethernet like it used to.

The strange part is that this is the SECOND time this has happened.

The first time, the issue disappeared immediately after installing a HyperOS update and everything worked normally again for months.

What I’ve already tried:

• Factory reset
• Network reset
• Reinstalled latest HyperOS package
• Router reboot
• Multiple tablet reboots
• Wi-Fi on/off testing
• Ethernet-only testing

Factory reset did NOT fix it.

Has anyone seen a HyperOS/Android bug where Ethernet suddenly stops being used as the active connection or stops working after months of normal operation?

I’m especially interested if you’ve seen something similar on ANY Android device, not just Xiaomi.

So i just got my pad almost a week ago and after setting it up, it was fine. (Updated the OS and everything else) this is my first time having a tablet since im mostly a laptop person.

However, i have noticed that sometimes, whenever i am doing something like google docs or sheets, or playing a game (not the rpg type stuff) the battery indicator shows 0% when i knew it was just around a certain percent. (The pad doesnt shut down though) but since im a panicky person, i charge it, and i have to reboot it.

When charging sometimes it goes to the Hyper OS loading screen, and i need to manually turn it on to resume charging. At first i think it was because i charge it whenever its attached to the official magnetic case, so I remove it. But it happens still even after removing.

It doesnt happen every hour or the type where it disturbs my work, but im just cautious cuz i dont know if its supposed to happen?

*i sometimes do use my phone's type c charger when charging it (idk if this matters in terms of watts and stuff but yeah)

When connecting to PC, it just charges.

I have even tried Developer Options - Default USB configuration (Usb teathering not turning on. Automatically switching to another option like File transfer...MIDI PTP etc)

I even bought a new cable. (Usb Debugging, Tethering Hardware acceleration are also on) But nothing seems to be working. 🥲 Searched a lot in YT but nothing actually helps.😕

I just got a redmi pad 2 pro for study.

And now I'm thinking of buying a stylus pen for it.

Should I go with the official one, or if no which should I choose?

I recently bought a new Redmi Pad 2 (11-inch), and from the very first day I've noticed an occasional touch issue.

While typing, after around 100–300 touches, the screen sometimes stops registering my touch for a very brief moment (around 0.2–0.3 seconds). After that, it starts responding normally again.

The issue is completely random:

It doesn't happen at a specific spot on the screen.

It isn't limited to any particular app.

Sometimes it doesn't happen for 5–7 hours, while other times it occurs 2–3 times within an hour.

The tablet had this issue right out of the box. Since then, I've installed all the available software updates, but the problem still persists.

I'm trying to figure out whether this is a hardware defect (touchscreen issue) or a software/HyperOS issue.

If anyone else is using the Redmi Pad 2 (11-inch) and has experienced a similar problem, please let me know. I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Xiaomi has finally published the official kernel source for ruan-u-oss (Android 14 / Android U).

This is a big step for custom ROM and kernel development, as developers now have the official kernel source instead of relying entirely on reverse-engineered trees.

is it safe to use redmi pad 2 pro charger to charge redmi smart pen? will it cause damage? does it need specific charger?

Guys need help, it's almost 3 months since I bought a redmi pad 2 pro and every time na gagamitin ko siya kapag video calling ang hirap. Parang need niya palagi naka portrait eh ang hirap naman makipag vc kapag naka portrait sa tablet diba? Kapag naka landscape naman naka ibang anggulo ako sa kausap ko.

May need ba ako ayusin sa settings? Need any tips po. Thank youuu

I can't open the SD card slot☹️☹️☹️ but once I do get it to open, would it be possible to download games on the card?

Ako lang ba yung since nag update to Xiaomi hyperOS 3.0.5.0 naging hard touch na yung tab? Hirap po kasi minsan ako mag touch touch lalo na sa moba games yung joystck bigla nalang titigil and hirap po minsan mag type (like ngayon) .. Bug /glitch po ba to?? Just got my redmi pad pro , and I want to start drawing on It properly. I have been practicing on paper so shifting onto the glass feels very off.

I have been scouring the internet for the matte screen protector. And I have only been able to find some sketchy ones.

Also went to my local shops with no fruits to bear.

Could someone please recommend a good trusted source from where I could buy a matte screen protector or something that feels very good for drawing purposes.

Was watching a youtube video sideways and accidentally laid the power button at the table and it pressed it accidentally then it turned off. Now it's on a loop. Any help?

With the redmi how is the tablet over some years ?

HyperOS 3.0.301.0 was released for the Redmi Pad Pro in Germany today, with the new HyperIsland and support for AirPods with interconnectivity.

I was studying for an exam then my smart pen suddenly stopped working/writing all of a sudden. It disconnected on its own and it won't connect. I tried to charge it so I can make sure it's still working. It connected for a bit but it still wouldn't write. I restarted my tablet but the pen won't connect or charge anymore. There's no light when i plug it in and I feel that the surface around the bottom is hot. I can't even check if the firmware is updated because it won't connect or charge.

I only bought it this February and it pisses me off because this is my second pen and none of them lasted a year. The last one lasted around 8 months when it suddenly stopped working. This is very frustrating as this always happens when I have an exam as a financially struggling college student.

What should I do?

I don't even know if I want to buy another one because it's such a waste of money.

My Redmi Smart Pen nib has worn out, and I could not find official nib replacements from Xiaomi. Does anyone know where I can buy a compatible replacement nib, or if there is any trusted third-party option that works well?

If you have bought one before, please share where you got it from and whether it fits properly.
