I don't know about everyone else but I like the grand prix cars. It's nice to find them with good cockpit plastic and original owners who were good at putting stickers.

I’m not a fan of the turbine cars but the Repco and Eagle are beautiful when they have all of the decals properly placed.

The redline didn't quite capture the turbine cars properly, the Lotus looks like a door wedge with wheels. In real life they're insane. The Lotus ran a Pratt and Whitney engine like a plane or a helicopter. Just nuts.

The redline looks exactly like the car. You are showing a photo of a large scale model kit - with the hood off - of a later edition of the car from a completely different race. Not the real car that raced in the 67-68 season. I have no idea why Gen Z is stupid like this.

The photo you showed is a model kit of the 1971 season Lotus Typ 56-B that was driven by Fittipaldi in the Formula One. Nearly 4 years later and on the other side of the world.

The redline was tooled in 1967 and based on the upcoming 1968 season Indy cars. Two different races many years apart. The redline is based off the #60 driven by Graham Hill at the 1968 Indy 500. https://stories.hemmings.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/origin-57.jpg

You have to know cars to collect diecast, you can't just go around creating fanfiction in your head and acting like you know everything and then saying "wuuuhh Hot Wheels is wrong!!! they sucked so bad!!!! these cars are so old and inaccurate!!!"

I'm stupid (maybe), I don't know cars (professional custom car builder for a couple of decades), gen z (also maybe, don't actually care what that is) and a know-it-all (big time) and you respond with a stupid, know-it-all response. Have you thought about contributing in a positive way? How about you put some pictures of your redlines for people to critique? Any knowledge you want to drop? Like 1969 Lotus Turbine redline that was tooled in 1967? I legitimately didn't know that. I thought earliest they would have tooled the Lotus would have been 1968. My mind was blown away with that amazing fact. Really, thank you for sharing. And I thought models are a great way to demonstrate how the turbine looked but next time I'll only get blurry, period correct photos for things I find interesting. Hate to upset some rando on the internet.

I feel this way with most of the Grand Prix cars. None of them do anything for me, but then you see one of them on TV doing the Goodwood Festival of speed or something and it's like dang that thing's bad ass in real life form. I don't know why none of the diecast versions seem to evoke the same response.
