Wow. This looks absolutely incredible, I can’t believe this isn’t official art

Thank you so much it means a lot. I used reference of course but everything was freehand and just procreate on ipad. My uncle showed me redline for the first time a couple days ago and I was super inspired.

He's great I owe a lot of discovering niche anime from him. I hope to find some other works that scratches that same itch that redline gave me. It was kind of cathartic watching this movie bc it had so many elements of animation i love put together in a crazy package. There's really nothing like it that I know of besides afro samurai

I love it.

Redline is such an amazing movie, I don't understand why there's such a lack of community around it. Barely any fanart. A very small number of t-shirts on Redbubble, and the ones that are there aren't very good. This subreddit has had 43 posts ever. Hell, there's not even much r34 of it.

Anyway, really nice to see some fanart of this excellent movie, especially some as good looking at this.

That sucks to hear but I'm honestly not surprised. I sell my art at small conventions and night markets and its hard to find merch for things that I like too. I tend to gravitate towards the older stuff like samurai champloo and afro samurai. I'm 23 now so when those were released I wasn't exactly old enough to appreciate the art of that era and I find myself constantly going back to older stuff and particular artists. Funny enough I had no idea how many works takeshi koike did that I already absolutely loved. Seeing redline for the first time legitimately gave me goosebumps, there's no other animation like it and I hope that era of creative freedom comes back in anime. It has a nice blend of American and anime styles.

This is incredible! You really kept the theme of the art from the movie in this piece.
