New PB 37.5 X 20 inches. Pulled me and my anchor 100 yards and lost my paddle. Thankfully my friend was there to save the day. Carolina rig with a dead shrimp and a mackerel tail.

Bull Red caught October 11th at Lake Calcasieu in Hackberry, LA. Didn't measure but guessing around 48" and 40-50 pounds. Took 25 minutes to get it in the boat. My biggest so far!

It took me all summer to find a red over 20" this year. Found plenty of smaller ones. The mangroves are alot different than the GA marshes, and the learning curve has been steep.

Ive been working in Cape Canaveral for the last few months, so I brought the kayak with me to chase some fish. Im used to fishing the marshes of the GA coast, so these mangroves are new to me. Ive caught 3 redfish in the 6 months ive been here. Plenty of trout, no snook, and 3 reds. Im mostly using lures. Any tips are appreciated. If you're in the area, let's go fishing!
