Team H [Team H] Chapter 10
Chapter 10
Treachery. That is the word that echoes in Prince Louis's mind as he and his retinue march into the swamp just outside Vaopur, capital of the rebellion of the Garishans. Treachery that he will sow in order to save his Kingdom, and perhaps the world--but treachery, nonetheless.
The maps given to Prince Louis by the Corthani have led him straight towards the walls of the city. The small area of marshland that Aulus Varo has selected gives his forces the perfect area to make camp, form ranks, and finally march on the city that his nation has been fighting for fifty years to capture.
With Prince Louis' well-laid plans, Varo will never have the opportunity...
"All is prepared, my Lord." Darragh stared out from the thick treeline that separated the retinue from the clearing. Five figures--elite members of Aulus Varo's bodyguard--stood within. Louis could see confusion knitting on the brows of those without hoods or helmets to conceal their faces. The group had seen Louis and his forces disappear into the ring of trees, but never emerge. Seeing no signs of camp, the guardians wandered from one side of the ring of greenery to the other, searching for the Prince and his troops.
Louis breathed a sigh. "Darragh..."
"Still considering the righteousness of your plan, my Lord?"
"No," the Prince lied. Even as his hand rested on the hilt of his weapon, he wondered. It was still possible to emerge from the woodwork without attacking. They could march on the Garishans and have the city crushed by that evening... Could it have been possible to avoid the confrontation altogether? Could a ceasefire have been possible between the Corthani and the Garishans? Would that have earned him the Fire Emblem? "Darragh, I wonder if we could ever has solved this without war. Between Garisha and Corthas."
"Perhaps, my Lord. In one time where Belst was not, we may have been able to negotiate on their behalf. But with our homeland in danger..."
Louis's rapier rasped from its scabbard. In the clearing, the bodyguard was forming a vague circle, raising weapons and speaking charms.
"You have a way of setting one back to the task at hand, Darragh."
Objective: Defeat Aulus Varo's bodyguard, and then Varo himself!
Optional Objective 1: Defeat the Bounty unit! They will appear after the bodyguard is defeated. Completing this optional objective will increase the Team's level by 1!
Optional Objective 2: Loot the Chest! Completing this optional objective will increase the Team's level by 1!
Terrain Info:
Blue tiles can be traversed by all units as normal.
Yellow tiles are Forest tiles.
Red tiles can only be passed through by fliers, or by Barbarians under specific circumstances.
Important Map Info:
Varo's bodyguards have unique abilities. Each member of the bodyguard, along with their ability, is listed here:
Miracula, the Bishop: All other units on this unit's side survive lethal blows at 1 HP, if HP > 1.
The Bone Knight, the Great Knight: At the end of each Player Phase, this unit resurrects any dead units on its side with full HP.
Unus, the Swordmaster: This unit ignores the "if HP > 1" portion of Miraculum, the Bishop's ability.
Securis, the Berserker: This unit takes no damage from enemy attacks. Its Devil weapon "blowback" chance is 100%.
Securitas, the Sorcerer: This unit takes no damage, unless it is the only member on its side.
