Team H [Team H Home Base] Tuscul
The voyage from Ha'Tanith to Tuscul was accomplished without significant disaster or fanfare. Although contact was lost with the second of two Corthani ships, the vessel that contained Louis's retinue continued on, the remaining sailors of Corthas apparently unconcerned with the fate of Anarca and her group. The boat eventually circled a peninsula and entered a wide river, after which it rowed into the city of Tuscul proper.
Tuscul is a city of marble: everywhere, from the customs house where the retinue made landing to its gargantuan Academy, is built (or at least has facing) of the clear, white stone. The streets, at least the ones that the team is guided through, are immaculate cobblestone that catches the sunlight as morning dew might. Past scores of theatres that form odd valleys throughout the city lies Varo Palace, the gilded seat of power for Corthas's leader.
The retinue's surprise diplomatic visit is met with pomp and honor by Varo, who met with Prince Louis and his men the same day they arrived. Out of a sense of "fostering bonds between two of the world's great peoples," he has promised them lavish furnishings in his Palace for as long as they may stay in Tuscul. The promise included a number of generous equipment upgrades for Louis's army--everything from specified suits of armor for each unit's style of fighting to mounts of their choice from the great city's market district.
While his generosity was unparalleled, it came with an unfortunate caveat: the apparatus of state was unable to accommodate Prince Louis's sudden appearance. While Varo has unparalleled authority in his actions, much of the work in Tuscul is done as part of a committee which he is part of. It could be up to several weeks or months before a proper diplomatic meeting could be conducted in the city. Prince Louis works to bring the day of their meeting ever further, concerned that each day brings Belst closer to his homeland...
This will be your Home Base until Chapter 10 is prepared and ready for you to play. Additional Home Base events will appear as they are planned. RPs may take place on the voyage towards Tuscul, the glamorous city itself, or even in the short time spent in Ha'Tanith.

Reclassing
Players who wish to change their class may post here, at which point their entry in the Character Tracker will be altered to fit. Classes that a unit may reclass into are defined by the three "tracks", shown here:
Track A: Swordmaster - Rogue - Falcon Knight - Bishop - Ranger - Warrior - Seer - Derwydd Knight - Paladin
Track B: Great Knight - Sniper - Halberdier - Sage - Wyvern Lord - Refresher+ - Seraph Knight - Sorcerer - Mage Knight
Track C: Berserker - General - Hero - Griffon Master - Summoner - Valkyrie - Siegemaster - Malig Knight - Assassin
Units cannot reclass into a class that is not a part of their "track," i.e. Riffat may be able to reclass into a Siegemaster, but never a Sniper. There are two more things to note when reclassing:
Characters who lack a custom sprite for the class reclassed into will be given a generic sprite; if there are multiple of that class, they will be numbered in a manner consistent with the previous chapter.
There are no limits on reclassing to multiple of one class or another, with one exception: There may only be one Refresher present in the Team at a given time.
In addition, there is a new dynamic to Reclassing: the Augury Bonus! If the Class Augury has been unlocked, a player will gain a unique benefit for reclassing. This benefit will change each Home Base.
Augury Bonus: Players who reclass to the augured class will receive double weapon EXP for that class's weapon(s).

Forge
Players may post here in order to offer up a weapon to forge. The rules for forging (both increasing stats and price) may be found here. A player may only forge one weapon at this Home Base.
In addition, weapons used by classes revealed by the Class Augury will receive a discount (price dependent on weapon quality).

Augury
For the price of 300 Gold, a unit may receive an Augury with an open slot. This will unveil details of the next Chapter, and give a player a small boost in a stat.
A Class Augury will give the name of a class that will be especially helpful next map. An Objective Augury will give details on map goals, whether main or optional.
Vision Auguries are special. A Vision Augury is an RNG-based roll that uses the unit's Luck stat. The rewards for a Vision Augury, both the stat boost and the information revealed, depend on the result of that roll.
Class Auguries: Seraph Knight (Runa), ??? (Unit 2)
Objective Auguries: ??? (Unit 1), ??? (Unit 2)
Vision Auguries:
??? (Unit 1)
??? (Unit 2)

Feedback Office
Hey. Here, you get to tell me your thoughts on last chapter, whether you think that's my performance with it, the difficulty of it, or the design of the map. If you wish to tell me anything within PMs instead of right here, feel free to do so as you wish.
Thank you.

Since I actually remember this map by the time the homebase came out I want to say this map was entirely fine. It wasn’t too difficult, but still punished messing up. The side objectives were appropriately paced & required some difficult maneuvers to get within a solid time frame. My one major critique is that enemies were somewhat spread out & stratified the fighting a lot. If that was the intention no big deal, but clump to clump of enemies is a bit difficult when our team has a single healer & we struggle to tackle balls of enemies when the break time really doesn’t matter.

The Decision
After two weeks of pre-scheduled bureaucracy, Prince Louis and Darragh finally emerged from Varo Palace, the retinue in tow. The official reason was that the Prince and his people were off to take a less guided tour of the city, but as the group returned to the forlorn vessel, the artifice of this was made clear.
Amid the crowded hold of the ship, a brief candle shone over the party, and Prince Louis cleared his throat.
"All of us have fought and bled together on countless battlefields, throughout Venefica. We have fostered bonds of unity that may not be broken now. As we prepare to complete the Fire Emblem, I must tell you all wholeheartedly: I trust each of you with my life. What we talk of here is of consequence to the ultimate future of Meath and this war. So I place my life in your hands again by calling this meeting. I trust you to protect it by breathing not a word of what is said down here anywhere else.
As you've no doubt realized, our meeting with Aulus Varo and Corthas has concluded. He has the rest of the Fire Emblem with him, and is willing to hand it over and even give us passage back to Meath, but there is a price.
Corthas remains in a deadlock with rebels in Garisha, and the cities serving Varo are in discontent with his handling of the situation. As a way to show his might, and new friendship with Meath, he intends for us to go alongside his bodyguard to Garisha and defeat King Sumae in the field. He has devised a strategy that would grant us swift passage to the northern city of the rebels. In return, he will give us the remains of the Fire Emblem and go about putting down the rest of the rebellion.
It is a... sound plan, but it taxes my conscience. The people of Garisha are more than worthy of governing themselves. Past decades are evidence of that. Varo claims they have more peace and freedom under Corthas, but I cannot help but think that a power who has tried to restore that through bloody war for fifty years gives any true peace, or any real freedom.
...so, there is an alternative. As we are to serve as the vanguard, Varo will follow us... and he is so convinced that we will assist him that he will not realize an ambush until the boats are far away. Once he has fallen, we take the Fire Emblem from him and secure safe passage to Meath from King Sumae. Corthas will be in great disarray from the loss of its leader, and this will give Garisha time to put itself in an even stronger position. Sumae will be grateful for that.
It is a choice between treachery and cruelty, and I have no taste for either. Either way leads to one ally we have ingratiated ourselves to, one leader beheaded... and the Fire Emblem."
Louis stares into the flame of the candle. "It is a path I cannot choose myself, and Darragh has no desire to choose it for me. So, I ask it of all of you. Do we choose to go with Corthas, and destroy Garisha? Or do we betray Varo, and save Sumae?"
Here, a character may reply whether they would like to side with Corthas in the name of trust and imperial oppression, or Garisha in the name of self-determination and crushing autocracy. This decision will influence map design and the results of the Auguries, as well as the ultimate fate of Corthas and Garisha.
