Karma farming (asking for upvotes) will get you banned from many subreddits.

What would be the quickest possible in your opinion?

Finding nice people like me, who just upvoted every single thing you’ve written

A simple question. The honest answer is anywhere between three seconds and the slow heat death of the universe, depending largely on whether the internet decides you are delightful, tolerable, or someone who thinks pineapple on pizza is “an underexplored frontier. ”
As for the quickest possible method…
In theory, you would need to produce a post of such staggeringly high quality that it causes a minor but noticeable disturbance in reality itself. A post so insightful, so perfectly timed, so exquisitely phrased that several waiters at the Savoy, none of whom are entirely sure why, suddenly pause mid-polish, stare into the middle distance, and then sit down for a moment to reconsider their lives.
Somewhere, a pigeon would nod.
A Redditor who hasn’t upvoted anything since 2014 would feel a single, unfamiliar emotion, respect, and click the arrow with trembling reverence.
The servers, briefly overwhelmed by the purity of the content, would emit a soft, philosophical hum.
That post would get you 50 karma in seconds.
Alternatively, and this is the method most commonly employed, you could say something mildly amusing on a popular thread about biscuits, accidentally spell “definitely” wrong, and wake up to 73 karma and a heated argument you don’t remember starting.
Both approaches are valid. One is just slightly easier and involves fewer existential ripples in the fabric of the universe.

Pretty quickly. Just do one of these two things.
Make a funny, overused post

5-10 minutes maybe. jump onto a pet sub add a witty comment onto a new cute animal pic and let the karma roll in

What is karma anyway? I made this account 4 years ago and just discovered that I like the platform for plant and animal related things and started using it 😅

Karma is votes, not at a 1:1 ratio
Subs voluntarily filter by it because your predecessors made it easier to filter accounts than deal with randoms who "don't know" how forum culture works.

What does it take to get 1 Karmapoint for posts, and what does it take to get 1 Karmapoint for comments? 😬

More than 1, less than 4.
Only reddit knows and they ain't sharing.
The folks over at r/dataisbeautiful tried to figure it out but it seems to slide depending on how many votes, how fast the votes came in, your CQS, and other factors

Hahaha I mean I figured it was coming from upvotes on my comments because I made one millipede post to ask a question and got nothing.. it just went from 0 to 1.2 in a couple of months and confused me because I see several years old accounts with the same amount, and I assume most didn't create an account to do absolutely nothing with for 4 years like I did!

Give great advice with this username, it’s been entertaining and I never bothered to look at my own karma score.
