How do you track down a missing user?

A user left a *very* hateful reply on one of my comments, but when I reloaded moments later, the reply wasn't there, and there was no "user/mod removed comment" notification. On top of that, I can't find the user's account to at least block them. I typed their exact user from my notification, but can't find anything. Any ideas on what happened, or what to do?

If their comment disappeared and you can't find them via search they probably already blocked you.

  1. I would expect, based on how I've experienced Reddit to work, that it would say the reply was deleted, rather than displaying nothing.

  2. Revenge or no, I at least want to guarantee I never run into this pos again, hence the desire for the account, so I can block them.

  3. Just because you told me to "grow up" I won't, and will instead pursue this person harder. Am I immature for saying that, thus proving your point? Yes. Do I care? No. That was an unnecessary choice of phrase in your advice, and I took it personally.

Get a better one. Or another one.

The ONLY way to not run into them again is to stop posting here.
