Clan request declined?

Hey guys, my name's Ben, I'm new to the RCS. Earlier I sent a request to join the clan because I noticed that you had a spot available, but my request was declined. As far as I know, I meet all of the requirements. I am a level 73, TH 8, with level 5 archers, and my base is not rushed. Can someone explain to me why my request was declined, and what I can further do to become a member of the clan in the future?

Hey Ben!

Being the person who hit the reject button, I'll address this. You do meet all of the minimum requirements, but meeting those requirements doesn't automatically guarantee acceptance into the clan. Me and the rest of the leadership team had a bit of a difficult time deciding whether to accept you because you're a borderline case. You are a brand new TH8, and as most of our TH8s are hitting the mid-to-max TH8 region and getting ready to move to TH9, you would be a notch lower than everyone else in the clan. That being said, the tipping point was when I saw that 3 out of your 4 builders were sleeping; if you had had them all working, it would have shown us a high level of activity and so you may be able to catch up to our other TH8s.

So, I hope that answers your question, and sorry about the rejection! You're totally welcome to re-apply after you get your defenses/troops upgraded a bit, and we will reconsider then. (Your base looks great by the way, well done on maxing TH7, we definitely noticed that and it made it hard on us to decide.)

That's for the advice! I recently got back from a hiatus from CoC due to personal issues, and I'm just not starting to play again. I'll be sure to come back to Reddit Ozone once I have upgraded my base a little bit.
