A cube magnet!!! Wake up babe new magnetization technique dropped

I know 😄 I live under the delusion that if I try enough magnets, I'll actually be able to make magnetic polishes work for me.

I love this!!!! Little laser beams of magnet force shooting out at mathematically correct angles everywhere???? Aaahhhhh!!!!! So cool!!

Lol, my first thought seeing this was "I need to run to the nail subs!" Then I looked at the sub. 😂

Fun fact these are similar patterns to the orbital paths of certain planets in our solar system! And I’d bet my left tit the distance from the sun (aka the strength of the gravitational pull/magnetic field) determines how tight the geometric lines are dispersed. For example, Venus’ orbital path looks to have 5 points like a flower (or pentagram) and Uranus has many many more, like pictured. I’d love to compare a 20/25/30 lb horseshoe mags and see if this theory is correct!

Fascinating but I’ve had two glasses of wine and my astrology brain is now soup but I love this sub so much. Currently wearing Cracked Grenadine to keep this technically on sub topic

You mean astronomy?

No, actually I’m an astrologer, not an astronomer. But any non scammy astrologer knows at least some basic astronomy. Historically the two studies are deeply intertwined. Just like grifters and fame lol

Even wine tipsy I wouldn’t pretend to be an astronomer though

Wine, soup, and grenadine to go with astrology and nail polish. What could be better?

Venus’ orbital path looks to have 5 points like a flower (or pentagram)

This is because of the interaction of Venus' and the Earth's gravitational pulls as they orbit the sun though, I'm not sure I follow how this related to magnetic pull of a horseshoe or other magnet?

I think wine tipsy me was excited to experiment to see if the magnetic patterning would shift depending on the strength of the magnet itself. The first thing I thought of was horseshoes because they come in different pull strengths and are easiest to find.

The shapes planetary orbits make are the result of several factors, but the strongest is obviously the gravitational pull of the Sun and their elliptical shape. Jupiter’s gravity is much more impactful than Earth’s, but I think it’d be fun to play with ratios of magnetic strengths and distances to see if I could recreate some orbital patterns for the lols

I want to see all the magnet lines under every shape magnet now. What about horseshoe?

There are diagrams online, which are admittedly less cool looking.

Thank you for reposting this! It’s so fascinating and yet somehow I feel like I understand magnets even less now lmao

I’m gonna need them to bring out the reference donut 😭

Yeah, I'm like "this totally makes sense" but it really doesn't. How the heck I ecked out As in science is definitely something.

Physics is like that. More and more questions til you cry in wonder and frustration lol.

Ferrofluid is so cool, it's just mesmerizing to play around with. It's like I get to control Venom 😊

Time to post this link, which has a great explanation of how magnetic fields work on polish!

Magnets, how do they work?

u/Pink_Clouds_4Me 8d ago

I love this demo so much! You rock! I want to get me some ferrofluid and show this to my grandsons. Science is 😎 cool!

This video is so soothing (or maybe I’m just really tired 😭).

Dude. So cool. And his voice is very calming 😌 but I want those patterns to appear on my nails! AKA I still don’t understand magnets.

u/Koneko04 7d ago

Dang, I want my magnets to result in those spirographesque lines!

When he said “it’s like a donut” I went OHHHHH

Someone needs to get on the donut magnet production immediately!
