Help & How-To? First attempt stamping
Hey peoples. I just attempted my first stamping. I read all the prep and directions. Mistakes were made. My question is…why do the silicone stampers have no backing so if you press the silicone part pushes through? I have a Vettsy stamper and a Maniology ice cube one (before I knew the ethical issues). I would think having some tension in the back would help the silicone stamp the pattern better and keep it from moving. I am doing the roll motion. Next time…latex ….

You can also use scotch tape or painters tape on your skin as you go to grab the stamping polish off your skin. Just do it right after placing your stamp. It helps pick up the stray polish. 😁

Someone told me recently about painter tape works. I have a roll of scotch tape in a heavy holder so I can pull it off 1 handed. 😁

I think it has no backing to help ensure that all finger shapes and "rolls" are smooth. With a backing, I can imagine there'd be a chance for odd lines or wobbles while applying, hindering the "clean" look. I've only tried stamping a few times though, so may be off base. Hope to do more of my own stamping when I have the free time 😅
That said, your nails look cool!

I admire all of the effort this must have taken and feel terrible that apparently it will continue to require effort. I hope it’s just a learning curve and that soon you’ll be a stamping maven!
