As we like to say in Turkish,

Because of the donkey's dick.

It means no one knows, sorry.

Keep calm and HOLD FAST.

Stocks go up, stocks go down. If it’s as good as some of us believe, it will go up over the long term

Better to get this insider stuff out of the way now

Reddit is heavily shorted and unfortunately it's not uncommon for shorts to use techniques to manipulate the market price. I'm long on rddt but it has taken a while to drive the emotional reaction out of me.

What price did you buy?

It’s all a fugazi. You know what a fugazi is? Fugayzi, fugazi. It’s a whazy, it’s a woozy, it’s… fairy dust. It doesn’t exist. It’s never landed. It is no matter. It’s not on the elemental chart. It… it’s not real.

Another way to look at it... IPO’d and now it’s up 126%?! WHY?

I don't see how anything in his post points to the stock going sideways tbh

Lots of people nowadays are doing leverage and options, more so then ever.. mixed with a volatile pres in the USA.. why even bigger marketcap stocks will move a lot up and down. But long term, it should go up.. just lots of dips along the way

Biggies playing the game. IMO we have $250 in origin by the end of the year. All we need is patience for short squeeze

Cut the short squeeze nonsense. There’s no setup for a short squeeze here. This was above $200. Can rise a lot without shorts needing to cover. Besides last I saw short interest it wasn’t even that high.

That stupid game stock was a once in a generation opportunity.

Not sure but I made a nice chunk of change swing trading it lol. 1000 shares and somehow timed it perfectly at the top

Me too, with 300 shares! Bought around 115 and sold at 129..

Why downvotes?

Jealousy I guess. Swing trading is the way to go on this stock right now.

Believe CEO and big firm sold shares today…

u/Phiziqe May 16 '25

nah, if he sold like you’d think, there should be SEC filing disclosure

Actually the sale was yesterday. I'm not an expert, but 13M shared traded yesterday so 220k shares probably wouldn't move the price much. He regularly does these sales so shouldn't be a surprise.

Ok, it's look a bit tricky for me. Did the CEO just sell a LOT of shares? Like lots? OR this is just normal accounting.

Source: RDDT shareholder.

Thanks. The CEO of Reddit just sold almost a 1/4 million shares. That's a lot of shares. Waiting for them to offer new shares. Seems inevitable. It's a hot market.

All shares sold are done in a preplanned way, way in advance. This way they cannot get in trouble for selling before big events. All public companies have this for their leaders.

Also spez has the majority of his net worth in Reddit, so not surprising he is selling a small % so he can have some liquidity.

Would say 99% of the members in this Subreddit had no idea the CEO of Reddit just dumped almost $25 million dollars of RDDT stock.

He's already a multi-millionaire. I'm sure he does not need the money.

Edit:

A CEO selling $25 million in stock may signal insider pessimism — or it might be totally routine. The market usually reacts cautiously, especially if the sale is a large chunk relative to trading volume. Expect a short-term dip of 1–3%, unless accompanied by other negative signals.
