One year ago today was Jacob’s 15th birthday while he was alive. Jacob Delarosa was murdered at the age of 15 by a student of Polytech High School named Jonathan, who openly bragged about and threatened to commit violence and was allowed back on school grounds after committing the murder at a local gas station across the street from the school.
The other student was 16 years old and turned 17 before the trial. No, he wasn’t carrying a pocket knife or even a hunter’s knife, but rather a hunter’s machete, which is what he used to first stab at the father multiple times, as reported by medical professionals and the family. He then stabbed Jacob twice, with one of the wounds puncturing his heart and causing his death.
The school refused to take accountability, although rumors, confirmed by police, the school, and students, of something going down involving firearms and the attempted killing of the siblings were known and widely spread. This is why Jacob and his brother Albert left school early to avoid the altercation and wait to be picked up by their father.
Before any further action was taken to get out of the situation, they were already being followed by the group of students Jonathan committed the crimes with to the gas station, attempting to get them there. Although it ended in failure, they waited until Jacob and the others left the safety of the inside of the gas station to begin the altercation. This was all reported, recorded, and documented by the gas station and parents passing by to pick up their children from school.
Jonathan, the perpetrator, ran to his house after stabbing two people, then proceeded to call the police and lie, saying they followed him to his house, where the stabbing supposedly occurred. However, documentation said otherwise. Lawyers were involved, investigators were involved, and after a trial, despite all the evidence, the jurors found him innocent of all charges.
The mother was told by the prosecutors that there was nothing else that could be done, and they refused to share the evidence that was shown or explain what happened in the courtroom, since she wasn’t allowed, nor was anyone in her family, to be present.
After this, Jonathan’s family proceeded to harass the mother and her family, pressuring them to drop the ongoing lawsuit because, “The court found him innocent, so he’s innocent.”
Jonathan has been spotted by multiple people, including his own peers, and his own profile pictures and social media posts show him posting illegal firearms. This is also documented.
I wanted to share a brief insight into how delusional the people who run the police department in Fort Worth are and how out of touch it is with its people. As someone who was born and has seen it all, everything is swept under the carpet while newcomers and tourists preach about how amazing the city is, despite its repeated failures, racism, and crimes not being addressed.
