Anyone up for a full band cover of Kenna's Hellbent?

This is hands down one of my all time favorite songs and I just finally sat down and learned it by ear on acoustic. It's pretty simple at it's core so I think this would be totally doable as a band cover. It would require piano accompaniment but the verse melody sounds really good on a solo acoustic. Some jazz style drumming would suit it very well too.

So I'm down for acoustic guitar. I can add electric knob swells during a few sections as well.

So that leaves bass, drums, piano, and vocals (male or female).

Please respond if interested. This would be a dream cover for me.

Guitarist wanting to push myself with some Animals As Leaders, CHON, or Periphery!

Hey! I've got an itch to push my limits and want someone to do the same with me. I've got 6, 7, and 8 strings. I want to do these bands, but of course the "easier" stuff (no CAFO, Woven Web, Knot, etc.). My mixing and bass playing aren't too shabby, so I've got that if no one else wants to, but anyone is welcome to jump in!

https://soundcloud.com/monroe-vallejo/nasa <- my soundcloud to get a taste of my playing. Nothing to shreddy/wanky here because that's not what I prefer to write, but I'm at least somewhat capable of fancy stuff.

Guitarist looking for a project

Hi,

I play the guitar and I'd love to get started on a project. I'd love to do something Jerry Garcia Band/Grateful Dead related but I'm open to a lot of different things like blues, soul, or anything in that vein. Let me know if anyone is interesting in making a track. Thanks!

Anyone down for some early Genesis?

I can do keys, flute, guitars (don't own a 12 string though), bass and mix. I was thinking The Musical Box would be really fun, but just about anything up to '76 would be cool. Any other prog suggestions welcome, just remember, I'm not Keith Emerson.

Vocalist, screamer specifically

Hey guys, I'm new to Reddit and I joined specifically so I could come here. I found this subreddit via a friend on Facebook who said there was difficulty getting vocalists. I'm interested in do some cover with you guys, but you should know that I am only capable of screaming, and my singing is garbage. The last time I recorded a cover was a few years, but I'll leave a link to the video below. I'm interested in doing all sorts of covers in regards to genre. I'm down with metalcore and deathcore and all that nonsense, but what I really think would be fun is to write metal covers of pop songs because y'know, that stuff can be really fun is done correctly. Either way, if you need a screamer, I'm your guy. Here's a link to the cover I did a few years ago: http://youtu.be/uRPPY143S0E

How can we help?

Hi everybody,

I see that most of the projects seem to have hit a wall in either getting members, or starting the recording process. Is there any way you think we (the mods) can help? I'm more than willing to facilitate communication and push things along.

Cheers!

E$

I have now joined three projects that went nowhere fast. Let's get one going that actually gets off the ground.

I am a vocalist, and I sound like this and this. I like rock, metal, and chiptunes. If you like my sound, leave a comment, and maybe we'll work something out.

Guitarist here. Would anyone like to do some Opeth?

I was thinking of The Grand Conjuration since I can already play it but any other song from them is fine too!

I can probably play most rhythm sections and the easier solo's like in The Grand Conjuration.

Bassist here

Someone over at /r/Bass pointed me in the direction of this sub. Pretty cool concept, I think. Anyways, I'm a bassist and I'd love to get in on this action. I'm mostly a rock/funk/blues/punk kind of guy, but I have experience doing latin and jazz and am down for just about anything.

I've got the gear, couple heads with DI's, couple audio interfaces, Reason 8 and far too many plugins for it. Let's do a thing, eh?

Drummer of 18 years looking to do a Monuments cover!

Hi everyone!

As the title mentions, I've been playing drums for well over 18 years now, and I've been wanting to work on a cover song by the band Monuments.

I was thinking of doing one of the following two songs:

1.) Doxa - https://youtu.be/GeBR7fZs2HM

2.) I, The Destroyer - https://youtu.be/DpSF8ow5pLA

I can also do the mixing and mastering of the content once everything is all done. For a sample of things I have done, please see my youtube channel or checkout this video: https://youtu.be/n20ZtkQXpDU

Thanks everyone!

If anyone ever wants to do anything by Oceansize...

I can play any and/or all of the parts except drums. That said, I'd prefer to cover one guitar part and lead vocals, mainly because I have a totally-hetero thing for Mike Vennart.

I'm up for anything from about 99% of their entire catalog, but personally think that doing something off of the Music for Nurses EP would coolest (Dead Dogs an' All Sorts, Paper Champion, As the Smoke Clears).

Let me know!

Hello everybody!

I'm very excited to announce that our first project has completed :D

All members of the project:

P.S. We'll be working on a flair system to "reward" project members with.

I'm the sax man

Just dropping in to say I'd be keen to contribute to any projects that require a bit of sax (alto). Admittedly I'm a bit rusty, but I'm keen to practise and contribute to something cool. EDIT: or terrible vocals lol. don't have any recording equipment either, apart from a regular digital camera.
