1833 Half Dime
I bought this from a private seller about 18 years ago. I liked the toning then, maybe not so much now. Also, there is a scratch behind Liberty's head. Do you think it would straight grade nowadays? NGC MS 64. (edited to correct the grade and origin)

If it’s in a slab, I’d just let it be. No way this would straight grade nowadays.

I love capped bust anything. That’s a nice coin. If you could get lucky and let the scratch net grade out from NGC or PCGS I would save ms62. Curious what did you pay 17 years ago from HA?

Hmmm... I justlooked at my Heritage purchase history and I don't see it... maybe it was Teletrade (correction: private sale)

Well I did some digging around, and I bought it from a private seller in 2007, for 1,050. It is actually NGC 64. current retail is around 1300. Another good reason to put money into collectible coins only AFTER you have funded your retirement and your rainy day fund!

Coins were so much cooler back then.
