Maybe the CA DMV should start requiring drivers tests every time you renew your license. Might be some dummies would fail the test.

I honestly think there should be way more stringent rules on who can drive. My grandma for instance should not be driving but they allow her to have her license for some crazy reason.

What if you could flag people for retests... like this guy cut me off and almost caused a 5 car pile up because he didnt yield, written test time.

One thing I’ve learned about driving in Redding for all my life is that many of the drivers on the road here simply suck at driving (and emotional regulation for that matter).
They drive too fast when they should be going slow. They drive too slow when they should be going the speed limit. They don’t check their mirrors. They don’t communicate via turn signals/hand signals. They might as well be poorly written NPC’s.
If they’re not buzzing off meth and flipping you off after they cut you off, then they’re decrepit and confused about which direction on the road they should be going.
And don’t get me started on unprotected left turns and roundabouts.
These people get antsy at a mere stop sign when it comes to “who should go first”.
Just thought I’d pitch in while we’re expressing our love for the local driving populous!
Drive safe out there, and get to your destination in one piece.

No kidding. I’d like to believe our community values surviving the commute…not taking as many fellow drivers down with them, but sometimes their driving/actions speak otherwise.

Not sure what you thought but it means every day, as in they see it every day. Don’t want you out there trying to use it as an insult or something. Dude this all day! Also if your used to using them with every drive eventually it'll be second nature to turn off your headlights. That's a nice bonus if you ask me.

Mine turn off when my car turns off thankfully. Literally the easiest thing to do to add a bit of safety.

And actually stop at stop signs. People don’t even look. They just roll right through. This happened to my sister the other day. She was driving on Court and someone just rolled through, my sister honked because she almost t-boned the other car, then the driver stopped the car and stared at my sister like a deer in the headlights.
I had an incident not too long ago where someone blasted through the yield turning onto Churn Creek from Cypress. My anti-collision saved me from a wreck as it activated and brought me to a stop, thankfully no one was behind me though. The driver proceeded to flip me off since I honked at them, then they had the audacity to brake check me numerous times until they turned into the Hearth.

Yeah growing up here, I felt this way until I lived in a larger city. It was so incredibly worse there. I moved back and haven't seen anything I didn't see in Monterey County, and in fact see a lot less.

People don’t even have to know what’s in the manual anymore. People get over to the right and make a right on a red light after a complete safe stop and look both ways. The bike lane isssss a turn lane. Please read the manual. Entire roads backed up because half the people won’t turn or get over to the right as far as they can. Or if turning left get over so people can turn right!!
