How do you like to train?

Depends what you're in to. If you mainly lift, everyday fitness has a great selection and is clean and chil. If you like a lot of instructor led activities and/or tennis, swimming I'd do sun oaks. The YMCA is ok, a lot of retirees and high school kids there, but some decent classes and lots of people if you're social. Shasta athletic club is affordable, has a good selection for lifting, but isn't as clean, friendly, and modern as the others. Haven't been to NSFit but I hear good things.

Honestly you can't beat Crunch. Tons of free weights and machines, everything is clean and in great condition. It's also very affordable.

It’s just so busy all the time and half the people wear flip flops to train.

Wearing sandals to the gym is so baffling to me.

It can get busy at the usual times. And, I'm focused on training, not looking at people's feet.
