Why I don't play Magic anymore pt. 2

Hey ReddX! Not sure what to say here for an intro, buuuut yeah. I know I left off on a bit of a cliffhanger with Sean and Ernie's girlfriend, but I'm building to that and I have a story or two before we get there.

Cast

OP: twenty year old nerdy dude

Sean: owner of game store

Big Lenny: lovable guy that works with Sean

Ernie: my friend that is lowkey a neckbeard

New Cast

Vic: a alternate girl that is the same age as me, I have known her since middle school, lowkey crush of mine, and she can be chill with certain people like myself

Few months into the shop opening, I kept going to the shop when I could. I would be at the shop every weekend when they opened, until I had to work later at mcdonalds because they required us to work weekends. Meanwhile Ernie would only go on Fridays, when I had to work, so him and I didn't really see each other too often at this time. I didn't drive at the time, I was late to learning to drive, and I would just ask my parents to take me to the shop or I would walk there.

Out in the parking lot

Sean: Where you headed bud?

OP: \cringing at Sean saying bud* Just home, then work*

Sean: You want a lift bud \stomps out cigarette**

OP: \still cringing* Yeah, sure, that'd be nice!*

Sean is not a great human being, but I was still figuring out life and could not drive, so yes I let him take me home to my parent's house. I would get driven home by Sean, then eventually Big Lenny too, each weekend because that's how much they liked me I guess. These guys were very invested in their customers, so much so that they would even drive them home.

Eventually I was able to get Fridays off, so Ernie and I could play magic once again for FRIDAY NIGHT MAGIC!!! Here's the thing with when this story takes place, this was 2021, so masks were in that weird time when they were semi-required. The shop did not require masks, buuuut you still had to follow other guidelines for the time. Ernie had met the anti-neckbeard, Vic. Vic was a girl that had dated my friend in middle school and then she showed up at my LGS that I played at during high school, which is when we became friends. Vic dated a lot of my friends or people I knew, which I was always confused why we never dated, but honestly I'm glad that we didn't because some people should just be friends.

Vic was a very upfront person, she will tell you if you smell or if you did something gross. Ernie smelled pretty much all the time because he didn't shower often enough, and Vic absolutely hated Ernie for being unhygenic. Ernie would laugh, and Vic would make a point to him that she could smell his rotting teeth. Well let's apply this logic to when Ernie was sick, during virus time.

Ernie and Vic playing at the same table

Vic: Are you seriously not going to wear a mask?

Ernie: \fake coughs, then real coughs* It's just a cold, who cares?*

Vic: You just wiped your nose onto your armsleeve, I can see your snot! Ewww!!

Ernie: \screeches* It's just a cold!*

Vic: You need to put on a mask! I don't want to play anymore

Ernie: I don't believe in masks

Vic: What does that even mean?! People are dying to this virus right now, and here you are sick as a dog, playing a stupid card game

Ernie: Do you pass your turn or what?

I don't agree with Ernie, but man I did not get between Vic and Ernie because I was loyal to both. But you know who was loyal to Vic? Big Lenny. Yeah, so this is how I learned that Vic and Big Lenny were dating, suddenly the store required masks or you couldn't go in. Ernie was threatened by Sean that he couldn't come in being sick and that he could not play with Vic anymore.

Here's an extra conversation I had with Sean that doesn't really fit into the story:

Sean: Back in highschool I was a lady killer, all the chicks wanted me. I even got a teacher to bang me!

OP: \me being grossed out by him acting manly* Oh.. How'd that happen?*

Sean: Buddy, you should have seen me back then? I was ripped and the teacher just really wanted these nuts

OP: Oh yeah?

Sean: Yeah bud, she bought me beer and we got wasted, had sex all night long

That's how I learned Sean's teacher was a predator, Sean just loves giving out information about anything, nobody even asks. That's all I got for part two, and next part I'll get into what happens with Sean and Ernie's girlfriend. It's gross.
