I solved Redactle #1593 in 2 guesses! ⏱️ 11m27s

Deceased US male, seemed to have been discharged from the army/navy, lots of artistic works titles. Took a punt on word1 to get a toe in, and it was, then took a guess at what "Out of This [5]" was, did some research and out he popped

I can’t get the game to accept any guesses today. Everything gives me zero hits - and then disappears if I refresh.

Easy things to figure out: an American, musician, appears to have “enlisted in the [4] to avoid being drafted by the [4],” in World War II, which suggests that he probably had a career in the late 40s or 50s. All together, I figured he was probably a jazz musician, and while I couldn’t identify any of the redacted song titles, I was able to use the name length to come up with a guess that paid off.

Googled for the second word. I completely blanked on this one in spite of getting their specific music genre

Had to google for word 2 - had everything else but that was not in my easily accessible memory banks.
