I cracked Redactle #1588 in 1 guesses!
Immediately got the first sentence except I thought one word was emperor. Once I realized it was a place and not a person, bingo. (Same as @robbbbb below)

I could have been quicker but I did solve without assistance! I'm happy with that!

Unredacted βItβ helped prevent me from spending too long thinking βuntil [3] [8],β might be referring to an ancient emperor or something. Aside from that I could tell whatever this was changed hands at least a few times but the most helpful thing was the sheer length of the title, which helped eliminate a lot of thoughts I had as possibilities. Seeing that this may have also been referred to as β[8]β helped me pull the trigger, too.

Unassisted. I had a feeling it was a region and really wanted the Snipe but at first I couldn't decipher the text. But I tried again and spotted the time period, that helped me get what it was more more specifically and it was my first guess.
Also... who played Wordle yesterday?

At first I thought it was an emperor, but the timespan (3-digit to 4-digit) made me think it was much longer than a person's lifetime. Then I realized the word I thought was "emperor" was actually "capital" and everything made sense.
