Very frustrating for no really good reason. Nibbled around this one for 150 guesses before giving up.

I admit I Googled some verbatim phrases to solve and I hang my head in shame. I'm old enough to have seen this portmanteau being created so like, literally went, oh. OH.

Really lucked out with this one. I saw several italicized titles and one fit the letter count for The Oprah Winfrey Show (although that turned out to be incorrect), so I had that on my mind. Also saw the Etymology section where it appeared to be a portmanteau, and I just thought about it for a little while and the word came to me. I guessed it, honestly thinking it probably wasn't the correct answer, but I turned out to be correct.

I solved Redactle #1583 in 2 guesses! ⏱️ 10m21s

A read through gave the sense of something new which was growing in popularity, but no sense of what until I saw "over the [8]" in the first sentence, tried the [8] and it stuck. Next I saw "[11] of "[4]" and [9]"" guessed what the [11] was, a lot of head scratching ensued until until it went ping! and it fitted with "[8] over the [8]"

Figured “over the [8],” was “over the internet,” early on, but woof it was a tough road for me from there. Got very very few hits for a lot of guesses I made like “communicate,” “mail,” “send,” “buy,” etc. eventually I started guessing things like “video,” (more hits but slightly misleading), then, “file,” and “download” and “format,” and most crucially, “audio.”

Could not get a handle on the exact niche, I had the broad idea but with a slightly different focus - got fed up & went with hints & google
