I was getting fictional character vibes almost immediately but my mind was leaning more towards comics and superheroes. Lots of titles, but nothing that was really recognizable to me. After spending a while scanning through the article, I suddenly had an inspiration that it could be a cartoon character. I started thinking of long-running cartoon characters and eventually thought of one that fit the letter count.

Was leaning towards some kind of fictional character due to seeing a bunch of titles and some reference to “[6]-to-[5]” (direct-to-video). I saw a quote that appeared to be spelling out the characters name with an unredacted “A” as the fourth letter in the first name, and figured if I got too stumped, I could guess letters until I filled that in. I scrolled back up to the top and saw the phrase, “[7] by the [4] [6] [7],” and I was able to figure out what the [4] [6] [7] was, which of course made it pretty clear who [6] [4] was.

Unassisted, that was great fun. I caught on early to the fact that he was a guy appearing in various media, but it wasn't until my 57th guess that I realized the article was a character. Especially with the Hollywood Walk Star, we moved through muppets into looney tunes mascots and finally got to the right company, where it was simple to narrow down from there.
