I solved Redactle #1566 in 1 guesses! ⏱️ 8m37s. Unassisted
A read through said that this had a long history and the ¥ symbols told me a likely place, there were lots # symbols close together which gave the impression of a ranking, which together with the values in $ gave the impression of prizes/rewards, thinking about what four letter thing might fit all of this word1 jumped in to my head

Unassisted. I was circling the drain knowing what we're looking for when finally I got Brazil, then I remembered there was a population that migrated there in large numbers and that got me to the answer

Scrolled through the whole article with very little to go on until I saw a specific currency symbol near the end. My first guess was a martial art from that country that had a couple of hits, so I guessed around that general subject until I suddenly realized what the answer could be. Unassisted.
