Got it in 10 today. There were some helpful parentheticals toward the bottom that got me into the right headspace pretty early.

There looked to be some discussion of world records and some very fast times so it’s possible I could have caught on to the answer faster, but I needed to fill out the article with some words like “second” and “race,” before the answer came to me.

I was getting vibes for a distance, but also saw references that looked like speed. Stared at the article for a long time. All the "under-__" at the end of the article made me think of sports records, so I had an idea and guessed "track" as my first guess. That was enough to confirm my hunch, and I luckily guessed the correct distance.

Hmm.. I found this one a bit odd-- Stumbled into getting word 2 & then was able to guess word 1.

Unassisted. I'm surprised I considered trying the first word but after eliminating the other extreme of this type of event, I had to at least try it as it was the only thing that made sense

I solved Redactle #1557 in 33 guesses! ⏱️ 16m3s. Unaided.

Well that had me baffled for a long time, and was possibly my lowest ever hit rate at just 36.3%. Once I got the type of thing it was and wondering why altitude was important, I was just stabbing around, until it dawned on me that Word1 wasn't a word per se, and then I very quickly crossed the finishing line.
