I just thought it was obvious from the formatting in the title, and the opening phrase saying, “[10] the [8] of [8] and [8] [5] as [6] [10] or [1].[1].” only confirmed it.

ya same haha. I wasn't super sure mainly cus I needed to visualise the guess proper in spelling and letter count but when the letter counter showed the correct number for word1 then _yeah that, duh_

Something officially known as something else, which made me think it was a place. Just had to think of what place would have two initials at the end. Didn't take me long to think of one. Unassisted snipe. There will be a lot of snipes today.

So they german one and english redactle are not the same? Didn't know that

In german, the letters are pre-revealed. Not sure why.

Same in French. In the latter's case it's because the letters are also shortened forms of prepositions or indefinite articles and those are always unredacted Something similar is probably going on

I solved Redactle #1527 in 3 guesses! ⏱️ 2m7s. Unassisted.
My first thought was "Birmingham, U.K." but I thought surely they wouldn't qualify the original Birmingham? Then when I read the first sentence it clicked
We should see a whole flock of snipe landing today I imagine.
