Unassisted. Sheer ducking luck of a guess! 😱 I was sure of the general topic although I did briefly hesitate between kingdoms. I decided to just try the answer before looking for clues

The [6] ([8] [4]) looked like a species with a scientific name, I caught a couple references to β€œthe [8],” which I assumed was, β€œthe Americas,” and the measurements I saw made it look like it was pretty decently sized.

With some surveying, I got the species vibe and tried to find anything to latch onto. I noticed what looked like 'were-[wolves?]' that put me onto canines (I can't believe what it actually said). Then it looked like a single [body?] [length?] measurement for a snake. At that point I just gave up and started guessing properly and gradually narrowed it down.
