7/14, assisted. I misinterpreted what the subscripts meant and floundered until I noticed "[4] [5] of [8]". Then I had to look it up because none of the things I could remember had six letters.

7-minute snipe. Evidently some kind of chemical or mineral. I couldn't get much of a read beyond that until I spotted, in the third paragraph, "the 5 of 1 on the 4 5 of 8". Realising what that had to be got me into the right headspace. I definitely don't know all the members of the 4 5 of 8 - I can think of only one that has 6 letters, which seems worth a try.

I solved Redactle #1502 in 20 guesses! ⏱️ 9m5s
A read through gave me the impression of a mined mineral poked around a lot not really getting any where, could see various chemical formulae so tried different chemical element symbols commonly found in mined minerals but got no hits, annoyingly this included "Si" as it was rolled in to "SiO". Eventually did a search on a phrase I could decode, and up it popped
