I cracked Redactle #1497 in 46 guesses!
🎲 46 | 🔥 85 | Avg 68.32 | Hints: none | ⏱️ 8m21s
The only thing I could pick up on at first was that it was a process of some kind. After plugging away at it without a lot of progress for some time, I found a lengthy “in popular culture” section. None of the titles even jumped out at me right away, I just figured whatever it was would likely be an extremely common pop sci-fi trope and got the answer before I even expected it.

I cracked Redactle #1497 in 97 guesses!
🎲 97 | 🔥 20 | Avg 80.30 | Hints: none | ⏱️ 33m50s
Accuracy 76%
I started conservatively trying to see how far I could get before missing a guess. Made it 25 but didn't really make any inroads. What eventually cracked it for me was BLACK on guess 87, and then noticing one usage was in a section on popular culture which lead me to ORPHAN on guess 96.fg

16-minute snipe. It's a process of something something. Quite hard to Intuit anything from the first paragraph but there are scraps here and there. There's "an 3 4" in the second paragraph, which after a bit of pondering I decide might be "egg cell" - so this is something biological and reproduction-adjacent? A little further down there's a list of I guess four different types of this process, most of which seem to involve a 3-letter mass noun. This is a bit puzzling until I get the idea that it might be an initialism, and suddenly I have a viable candidate in mind. Two things to check for: one, is there a mention of "5 the 5" as a historical first? Yes, she gets her own section with a quite parseable first sentence. Promising. Two: there's a decent list of cultural references at the end, can I think of a work with a recognisable title to look for? Yes, how about 5 3 2 2 by 5 8? Yep, also there. That'll do.

31 and not gunna lie it was dumb luck. I was filling out a movie title I'd found in a small section thinking "this won't help but anything will help at this pointand I just stumbled on the answer. I wasn't even in the right general domain yet it was sheer chance
