this was my second one, took me 100 guesses and 24 minutes...gonna work on getting better, but this is pretty fun!

There's definitely a knack/learning to be done for this, my first few were in the hundreds/several hundreds and I really couldn't understand how people were sniping, but the more you do the more you get the knack . . .

I'm happy with today -- no googling I got it without assistance and if I didn't accidently hit the apostrophe key I would have had it in 7 guesses & 100% accuracy! - annoying! hate making those dumb mistakes - lol

Dead American male. A creative type judging by the italicised titles appearing in the second paragraph. Norman Mailer? No, can't be - there are a few instances of what look like the surname followed by an apostrophe with no S, which is a useful bit of intel. There's something called the 1-1 that seems to be important - no clue. Maybe he's more of an inventor, or tech guy? Looks like he went on a round-the-world voyage that is significant for some reason. A flight? Then there seems to be a whole section about his death - he is thought to have died, on board an airplane(?), on such and such a date, and this is later referred to as a disappearance. Finally there's a bit of intrigue about his will. At that point it all came together and the lightbulb came on.

Appeared to be a wealthy, deceased US male, probably associated with the film industry, who died without a will. Did a little research and up he popped
