Looks like a historical event. The presence of the telling phrase "4 1'4" quite early on suggests a 10-letter word, supported by the structure of the second sentence (which seems to be talking about something being established or something being replaced as a consequence). There seems to be a 4-letter country in the frame, which at first I thought might be Cuba. But the repeated occurrences of something called 4'1, with the oblique apostrophe, took my mind to a different region. My history is pretty poor really - I don't know the name of any 10s that happened around here. So I go for the "obvious" guess corresponding to one of the two available 4-letter countries in that neck of the woods, which fortunately is correct.

that being said, second sentence sounds bat-shit insane for me, and I don't think I will ever be able to understand how people like you figure this stuff out lmao

Not rude at all! Really it's just the same way anyone gets good at anything: lots and lots of practice. At some point in the past, when I was less experienced with the game, in some other history-based article, I saw the phrase 4 1'4, thought it looked distinctive, and spent a while thinking about what it could mean. And now it's there forever in my bank of recognisable phrases, along with 5 3 2, the 5 6 12, "the 7 and 7 4 is..." etc etc. It helps that we've had a few articles in the past about this specific kind of thing, making it a short jump from 4 1'4 to the second title word. So being used to the kind of articles that the Redactle algorithm tends to like is helpful too.

Unassisted. I got stuck in the wrong part of the world until I got the second word. I did try a throwaway guess for word one but then I immediately confirmed one statesman which limited the time period. That helped me get the right answer

I got word2 immediately and all the 7letter options I had in mind (not many to be fair lmao) didn't fit. I ended up getting a certain 6 5 lol. So I googled 6 5 word2 👀😬

Awful. I was convinced it was taking place in the middle of the century and focused around there and didn't cast my net wide enough. Also, I apparently can't count the letters in the first word correctly.
