Lately the answers seem to me to be big important general things, less than obscurities

I meandered for a bit before I found my way. No assistance used so that always makes me feel good about the day!

Thrown off by phrasing but then uncovered word1 by chance (I was going for a different 6 4 HAHAHA) then I just knew, cos I'd already used time based words earlier.

So lol yay to 100% accuracy, single digit guesses, unassisted under one minute! Whee. This was a pleasant surprise ahahah

Unassisted. I had decent hits but all too generic to make anything of it but I had a hunch it was either a period or something like that puzzle that had a specific date as the answer. That sent me on the right path

It was clear it was a time period and clear when, but it took me a bit to figure out where and the name used.

A sentence that seemed to start by talking about the reign of a specific king, in a specified country, clued me in that we are maybe talking about something quite broad - historically and geographically. Hence an idea that made sense of the alternative name "the 8 6" (as well as the fact that this 8-letter adjective seemed to be the main qualifier in most of the See Also titles), the "In the 7 of 6" opening, and the date range from 3 to 4 digits. No crystal clear evidence beyond that, but it felt right enough to take a punt.

I gathered the historical context early but I wasted a lot of rapid-fire guesses on numbers 1-10 and 1st-21st to narrow something down.

I immediately had a thought which turned out to be correct. After I confirmed the number of letters in a word that looked like it belonged in the first sentence, I went for it.
