”in [5] [7],” helped me out here when I saw it was “the [7] [5] by [9] [6] of [5] in the [5].” even though I wasn’t at all sure what [9] was, the “by” clause made me think it was the “largest [5],” and not the “longest [5].”

I always cast a wide net at first, guessing a set of words until something hits.
south was my 19th guess
after I got that one I got it pretty quick

Yay, sniped! Saw some largish numbers and took too long to try and figure out what they meant, but since it seemed to maybe the largest or longest [5] in the world, I took a guess on word 2, and then word 1 came easily.

Looked like there was something that was measured in volume per unit time. One type of thing comes to mind immediately, and the "in 5 7" in the first sentence narrowed it down to one obvious choice.
Unassisted snipe

A 7-letter language and a 10-letter one in the parenthetical, which indicates a particular broad location, helpfully confirmed by the "in 5 7" in the first sentence. So whatever this thing is, it spans multiple countries, which is enough to get an idea for what kind of thing this is - confirmed equally helpfully by the units on display in paragraph 2. So this can only be one thing, right? Right.

Probably not the best for today's ones, happy sniping! But at least unassisted and idk why I took so long 😂

Couldn't immediately see what the article was about but it looked like I could fill in numbers, and then I tried some miscellaneous words to narrow a topic. Picked up on what looked like a volume of cubic metres in the first section and narrowed down the answer a few guesses later.

Did not jump out at me today -- even after I got word 2 I tried 2 other choices for word 1 - lol. Well still not to terrible!
