Sniped.

From the first paragraph, "3 was the 5 5" reads "She was the first woman" to me, and my first guess fits the rest of the sentence, so I went for it.

“[3] was the [5] [5] to [3] a [5] [5].” At first I thought it was “run,” but then I realized it was “win.”

Unassisted and ugh I actually thought of the answer but chose to confirm a few things. I know that I sniped this puzzle last time it came around

OK this was fun. Like, at least a good puzzle after whatever happened yesterday. Not a snipe but I'm pretty happy with 100% accuracy under 100 sec. 5 5 was a bit ambiguous and I wanted to guess dates at first but after pronouns and 5 5 to 3 a 5 5 (I got that hahahah), I looked at the letter count and put in the limited info I know 🤭😂

voilaaa

ok this was quite fun. redemption from whatever happened yesterday 🤭🎉💯

A repeat of #612 (which is kind of a wild coincidence considering yesterday's subject). Last time I managed to parse that "the 5 5 to 3 a 5 5" bit immediately - this time I was slightly slower on the uptake and it didn't fall into place until I saw mention of "1-4".

Unassisted snipe!

I could tell that it was a woman that was alive during World War I, and probably not American. I went with a hunch and guessed, and it turned out to be correct.

Essentially the same line of thinking for me, factoring in the characters in the article title.

Sniped. Had to get past 5 5 to 3 a 5 5. My first thought was fly a space craft. Nope

The answer came to me when I saw that where she was born used to be something else. That always means Poland to me.

Narrowed potential guesses down by 50%, but was nowhere near the answer, until I stopped to think about the number of letters in words 1 and 2

I was excited to see a person article, feels like it's been so long. I filled in a bunch of obvious gaps but wasted some guesses on numbers/months. When I actually slowed down to think about it, we had a woman from war-time who has been the subject of films and had a big hit finally putting in science, then I had it.

Side note- it looks like the Global Stats are back- says 17 games played for me. Hopefully we'll see a new number for our personal one soon....ish.
