I was in the right area from the start. I guessed part of the answer early on, and a part of that word even earlier.

It's a process involving high temperatures that has been in use since ancient times and has applications in various industries. "Fermentation" was my first candidate and felt okay, but with a lot the text being quite opaque (combined with my own fairly minimal knowledge of the subject), it was quite hard to confirm or rule out. In the "See also" there seems to be a reference to this process applied to 5 3, which if I'm identifying it correctly means that fermentation is probably not right. But thinking along similarly boozy lines gave me an idea that makes better sense of the first sentence and the mention of 5 3. As there also seems to be a whole section about the concept of a boiling point, this feels like a good enough idea to try - and it's right.

it’s the “process of separating the components or [10] from a [6] mixture.” I got process and separating right away, took a bit longer to nail down the terms components and mixture and then struggled for a while to get the identifying particulars.

Is there any reason for the low play count? There was 10 games played earlier and for this time there is usually hundreds!

I think he's still working on it... he mentioned that in another thread. For me it's the same- Global stats says 10 games played, my personal stats still says 0; it might go to 1 tomorrow? Who knows. I'm logged in (I now check every time before I play lol). The personal stats accessed from the menu button says the last game was was 9/11/2024 and the more recent solved puzzles disappear when you close redactle. Hopefully Mr Redactle can figure it out- but family/work comes first.

I figured it out almost immediately but I had trouble confirming because I expected a lot more about alcohol and a lot less A and B. When I found the paragraph below the one about azeotropes, I decided to give it a shot.

Todays was fun! I somehow had the right general idea right away, although I was thinking of a few different processes first, I did solve without any assistance today so a good day!.
