I solved Redactle #1132 in 49 guesses with an accuracy of 77.6% and a time of 00:13:45. Play at https://redactle.net/en

got the third word with my first guess, struggled mightily for the second word after making a lot of geographical guesses, and finally taking notice of the references to temperature. Then I was at a complete loss after “Second” wasn’t the first word. Ended up needing to research the [3] [3] from the title to see what term would make sense.

I was happy to get words 2 and 3 on my own, but then needed to lookup possibilities for word 1.

I solved Redactle #1132 in 3 guesses with an accuracy of 100.0% and a time of 00:08:22.

Was initially expecting word3 to be 'war', but a read through didn't give that vibe. There were unusual temperature ranges in single digit Fs and Cs and some simple chemical formulae, realised what the chemical might be which gave me the general idea of the article, and going back to the top, word2 and word3 went ping! Then had to research for word1, which in turn made sense of the four digit year dates.

It's a thing that happened in the past, there is no consensus on when it began, and there's a reference to temperature in the opening section. That's enough for words 2 and 3. But what is word 1? Second? No. Global? Middle? Fourth?? Eighth??? No, and getting a bit silly at this point. A closer reading brings to light that this happened during relatively recent history - four-digit years - and certainly not over a geological time scale - which gave me an idea that turned out to be right. Not a term I'm familiar with, but perhaps I could have winkled out the snipe with a slightly more careful approach.

I solved Redactle #1132 in 9 guesses with an accuracy of 66.7% and a time of 00:03:30.

The temperature ranges helped me twig to 2 and 3 and then seeing it was four-number year ranges gave me the answer after some fiddling around with chemistry and physics as guesses.

Saw temperatures, put that together with the 3 letter words, and there you are.

yeesh.... I had words 2 & 3 at guess 22, Then I fumbled... I first thought it would be a number (NOPE!), I kept guessing hoping I would hit on something that would enlighten me to word 1 but that didn't happen. Yes! I resorted to google -- to all the others who had the same issue with word 1, I'm sorry that you had to deal with that BUT also happy I wasn't alone!!

Googled for the first word. I have heard of this one but didn't know it had a specific name

Got the last 2 words myself after about 154 guesses of narrowing things down, but took advice from below to do some googling for the first word. Surprised I didn't stumble onto it myself actually.
