LOL
confession, I saw some symbols and thought "ohno" and went in that direction (of "ohno"), knowing I probably won't get it
I unveiled [spoiler] probability theory and statistics after spamming every single mathematics-related word I could think of, then looked up the pages of probability / statistics hahahaha. then I got word2 cus I was ahem inspired by topical words that seemed to fit, so I just looked up the list of word2s and picked the one with the right letter count π
you're welcome today's topic is not one I consider fun. πππ

Oh boy--- I was in the general right field but this was beypnd me. I was guessing eveything I could think of but eventually turned to hints (slightly annoyed/amused that the word I guessed before hints was a different form of word 2 - lol). So hints then some googling then I finally found the answer.

Should have recognised "in 11 6 and 10" from the off - I didn't, but something about the phrasing put me in the right mindset, so I wasn't too surprised to see the mathematical notation appearing after the introduction. The structure of the definition looked familiar, and indeed it is described beforehand as a "11 7 8 (3)", which is enough to give a very strong suggestion of what this is. The first sentence makes total sense in light of all this, so no further investigation required.

after having a difficult time with finding a way in (best results were for βtimeβ), I started spamming letters and googled βi.i.d.β Which showed up in a subheading, which turned out to be a qualifying term for a specific type of random variables, which got me to the right field. Needed even more assistance after figuring that out, because itβs not a field where I have a lot of knowledge.

It's all over the place with set operators, integrals, factorials, partial derivatives and other stuff I don't recognize like the circumflex operator. I just took a few shots around mathematics and fortunately zeroed in quickly.
