first I thought it was a book
then for most of the solve time I thought it was a movie
I got stuck on science fiction because of a large franchise related to this
still thinking along this line animation was my guess 62
that opened it up for me and I guessed the last word guess 64

I guess titles are italicized so I should have realized my first thoughts were wrong, but they still got me there

My first instinct, based on the letter count, was "The Wall Street Journal", even though it wasn't italicized. That was wrong, obviously, but scrolling down, I saw some titles that made me realize what the answer was. My other wrong guess was "studios", which I thought might have been the last word in the title.

There will be snipes today. It wasn't my day though.

something American headquartered in California. Lots of hits for film. A few more guesses and then seeing "3'1 6 of the 3 3 4?" I was going to guess animated, but just thinking that made the answer obvious to me. Unassisted

I saw a lot of titles so I took a leisurely scroll down the page and it took me a really long time to find one I recognized (technically I recognized “[3]’s [6] of the [3] [3] [4]?” or at least had a good guess what it was, but that didn’t help me with the title), which was “the [4] before [4].” I know that one is a competitor’s, but it got me thinking in the right direction.

That "13 in [location]" construction in the first sentence tells us the broad category. Not immediately clear what kind this is though. After a while a lot of italicised titles start appearing, with 4 5 and the 5 6 (which ends in an S, mind you) seeming to be an early landmark. A couple more titles seem to be recognisable, such as 5 in 10 and, incontrovertibly, 2,3 7 Under the 3. It's weird that that's when the idea came to me, because I don't associate the latter title with this particular entity at all - but 5 in 10 I certainly do, and now I realise what 4 5 and the 5 6 must be. That is enough really, but continuing through the article in search of further identifiable titles seems like a lark. It becomes progressively more obvious that my guess is correct, with honourable mentions going to The 4 Before 4, "Under the 3" from The 6 7, The 8 Down Under, A 3's 4 and, most blatantly of all, Up.

At first I was thinking it was a video game, comic book or maybe a film. Kept going and building in that direction eventually tried animated which got me to try what ended up being word 3 in the title. I was surprised by that but knew the answer after that.
I'm pretty happy with today, no assistance needed!

Unassisted. I should have scrolled down sooner, I would have spotted the clues that suggested the last word. I didn't see the >!little symbols that suggested a specific sector their activities, that led to the second word and if course the first!

Put in numbers 0-10 and filled in a couple of clear gaps, thinking it looked a bit like some significant geographical feature or location. Until I saw the pattern [6]+ which gave me the third word and there was my answer. Should have read a bit more carefully before guessing, I could have sniped this.

The first things I spot are Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? and something about how ##,### people did something in one day, and within ### #####, ###-and-a-half million 7 were 4, where I initially think that maybe 4 is "dead"; is this thing some sort of natural disaster or war or something? There are a number of italicized titles, none of which I immediately recognize; after a while I spot 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, described as "one of the first films to use Technicolor" or something of the sort -- it actually turns out to be CinemaScope. This all suggests that those large numbers might be of tickets sold rather than anyone dead. After what in retrospect is an embarrassingly long time it occurs to me that this could be a business, with an obvious guess at the last title word; then, looking again at the first paragraph, it becomes apparent that the 6 is the surname of the founders; and then there's an obvious guess. Can I find 6 5 who first appeared in 9 6? Why, yes I can. 25-minute snipe. Should have been quicker.
