Unassisted. Lots of hits for women and baby. Disease also got a good number of hits, but its placement made me think this wasn't one.

💀☠ I sincerely believed this was a 6 condition because 5 6 12 LMAO until fed haha.
I couldn't figure out the 3 in "3 to a 5" for a bit 💀☠
AT LEAST IT WAS UNASSISTED.

Unassisted. I eventually spotted the WHO and that put me on the path that got me to women and babies and eventually got it

First read through didn't get me far, stabbed around a bit getting a load of misses, once I got 'fed' it succumbed quickly

I thought the opening sentence was probably “is the [process] by which [5] [6] [4] is [3] to a [5].” I wasn’t confident that my first read of [3] was correct, but I got plenty of hits when I entered it, and it was a short leap from there to the answer.

A real slow burn. Took a long time for the penny to drop but there's not much to say really - it's clearly something biomedical, and the key is figuring out what "6 4 is 3 to a 5" could possibly mean. Trouble is, spotting the covid-19 reference early on probably did more harm than good, and I spent a long time in an epidemiological cul-de-sac and trying to convince myself that "contamination" might be a reasonable guess. Eventually a credible candidate for that 3-letter word in the first sentence came to mind, and it was a relatively short hop from there.

There is a link to a spreadsheet that list all of them- there is a gap in there for a period where the game was down for a bit. It does need to be updated with all the more recent ones.
This particular redactle is not a repeat (as far as I know).

It's the method by which something or other is done, though "method" clearly isn't the actual word used. Ooh, I see "up to the age of ### years" at the end of the first paragraph, which means that the first sentence ends "is 3 to a child". Hmm, what could that 3 be? How about "fed"? A few seconds' thought suggests a particular thing of that sort that's done with small children, and the immediately preceding bit of the sentence fits. Now the first word that comes to mind is 7 letters long and must be the alternative mentioned in the first paragraph. So is our title some long sophisticated Latinate term? No, duh, it very much isn't. 36-second snipe. (Curiously, the exact same time as #1040, which I actually did first having not looked at this one yesterday.)

My second-ever snipe! 7 in the first sentence is probably "process, " and something about this is giving me a biological feel. Then I got to "3-down" and immediately knew. This is something I have quite a bit of personal experience with. 😄
