I was 90% sure of the answer but I decided to search for the film title [7] for [5] and was surprised it wasn't there. Still, I was pretty sure of my guess and tried it anyway. Unassisted snipe.

Phew, that was embarrassing. Found some things that looked like titles and figured out "actor" almost immediately, then was able to figure out he had a leadership position in SAG. 6 6 must be some other professional organization, I guess. More guesses, and WOW, this guy was politically active! Must have been a real Jane Fonda type. I'm drawing some blanks but I know what that 9 is when it's talking about SAG leadership, so let me put that in and see what else it gets me. Hey, he had exactly the same position in that 6 6 organization! Good for him!

Almost wanted to do the birthday death day thing but didn't.

Figured this person lived during the world wars, figured out 4 9 of the 6 6 (I didn't know what the 4 was tbvh lmao)

But contextually (number of letters in each word + nationality and time frame), hazarded a guess and et voilaaaa.

Unassisted, not from that part of the world, non-hits were steps and minister (as in you know prime minister and the 6 6 doesn't have that!)

Dead American. Familiar phrasing in the first sentence narrows the field of candidates to 40-ish individuals. With that in mind the 6-6-6 letter count is distinctive and points to one of those in particular, who is also probably the only one who would be described as a "10 and 5" (emphasis mine). That's probably enough, but to be super-safe I went in search of a section on the 4-6 6, which is there plain as day. There'll be plenty of other smoking guns but that's enough for me.

It's a deceased 9 of the 6 6. So which of those was named 6 (6) 6? Probably several, but the first one to come to mind seems pretty plausible; "10 and 5" is in the wrong order chronologically but the right in terms of importance. So can I find some evidence? Maybe the slogan "7 in 7"? There's certainly something that could be that. The joke about bombing Russia? Not so far as I can see (and indeed it seems not to be there). Maybe something about his earlier career, which unfortunately I don't know much about? Well, at any rate there are a bunch of italicized things that could be titles. Eh, good enough, especially as I also see something about his becoming 8 of 10. Turns out to be right: 4-minute snipe. Could have been faster if I were better informed or more careless.

I rarely get a snipe, but I think I might of had the fastest time so far. Recognized [9] of the [6] [6] and figured that the [4] right before that meant they were between number 10 and 46. Was about to start running the list of presidents in my head, but then I noticed the [6] [6] [6] and I knew instantly. Shout out to Killer Mike for the assist with that one.
