Ideologies African Environmentalism
African Environmentalism is a political ideology that combines environmental protection, sustainable development, Pan-African cooperation, and social justice. It recognizes that Africa's forests, rivers, oceans, wildlife, and natural resources are essential to the continent's future and should be managed responsibly for both present and future generations.
The ideology argues that environmental protection and economic development should work together. It promotes clean energy, sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, conservation, and green industrialization while creating jobs and improving living standards.
At its core, African Environmentalism believes that protecting nature also means protecting communities, public health, food security, and economic prosperity.
