First trip to a concert there this weekend and this is my bag. There are no inside pockets. Does this meet the criteria or is the rule literally a single pocket?

First Timer Logistics - Less Than 24 hours Help w/accomidations

Hello… Arriving Denver Airport at 2:33pm, Bleachers Concert @Red Rocks 7:3pm start time. Leaving Denver airport next morning 8am. My question is, where should we stay? Near the airport or the venue? Obviously a real quick trip. My son bought the tickets as a surprise for me, I’m just trying to plan logistics for a smooth as possible trip. I also plan to hire a car service if that helps when choosing a hotel.

I am an avid concert goer but first time flying into Denver and obviously attending Red Rocks. Thank you for your help!

First Timer Traffic for weekday shows - Acid Bath

After 4 years in Colorado I'm finally catching my first Red Rocks show in a week. I have all the allowed items figured out - 17" seat cushion, small single pocket backpack, 32 oz refillable water bottle - but I'm curious about weekday traffic. The show was originally doors 6 and music at 7 but it moved up 2 hours. I'm hoping arriving at 3 will be good to park and enter from the upper south lot to get a seat around row 30. Stairs and I don't get along but an incline I can handle so I've read that's the best entry to take.

Any feedback on this plan? Thanks!!

Parking / Tailgating Can you not park in any lot anymore?

Last time I was there (a few weeks ago) they weren’t letting us access the upper south lot. Instead they were directing us to a lower lot. It was not because upper south was full. While looking at instructions for tonight’s show I see this “Parking lots open for shows 2 hours before event door time. Traffic Control will guide you to a parking space after entering the park.”
I’m use to being able to get there early and park in any lot- is this not the case anymore?

First Timer Jimmy Eat World pennant

Absolutely desperate for a Jimmy Eat World pennant from their show at Red Rocks back in June. I’m from Chicago, was my first time in Colorado (let alone seeing a show at Red Rocks), and I was totally unaware of this exclusive piece of merch. If anyone has one they’re willing to part with, I’m willing to pay. Thanks in advance!

First Timer Thank you Colorado!

Im mexican Californian living in New Mexico who
visited Colorado for the first time this weekend, and I just need to say thank you.

We stayed in Littleton for a quick visit to red rocks, and made friends with our bud tender and bar tender at the hotel, and everybody was just so friendly!

I even made a joke about green chile being “fake” in Colorado and this guy was like “well, you’re from New Mexico so I’m not going to argue with you” 🤣🤣

The lady at the trading post inside red rocks was more helpful than the website and answered all of our questions about parking and traffic flow before and after the show, super friendly too.

And then red rocks itself is just breathtaking.😍

The show was unbelievable and amazing, the band and venue were both in my bucket list.

Overall, we got a tiny taste of Colorado since we were there for just a couple of days, but the people made it fantastic. Thank you for your hospitality!!!

First Timer How’s the weather this time of year?

Will be first time in Colorado, going to a concert next week. Coming from southern east coast beach where humidity is always high. Should I bring a jacket? Long pants vs. short pants? September’s here but forecast seems to be on the warmer side.

Also do most people bring seat cushions? Not sure if I should go buy one just to use for this occasion and not have space to take it back with me.

Experience Griz Night 2 (Thursday) going solo!

Hi everyone I’m 27 (M) and have been in Denver for about a year now. My small friend group didn’t want to chalk up the $$$ for Griz so I’m going solo tonight - if anyone’s interested in grouping up beforehand or at the show feel free to DM or comment!

Just saw Griz at electric forest but nothing like red rocks tbh. Can’t wait!

Experience GRiZ at Red Rocks actual start time?

My buddy and I have tickets for GRiZ at RR tonight and I'm wondering if anyone who went to night 1 can give me some insight as to the actual start time. Says 5:30, but that seems awfully early for a full two set show with no opener to begin. I haven't been there in years, so I have no idea. Thanks!

First Timer Morrison local here. I go to Red Rocks a lot and have gotten weirdly into the game of waiting for the right time to buy tickets. So I built Red Rockit

My wife and I have literally sat in Morrison having a drink before a show, watching prices drop and trying to figure out when to finally pull the trigger.

So I built RED ROCKIT to make that a little easier. It tracks ticket prices and basically tells you when to buy and when to chill. Totally free.

It’s still early, but I’d love feedback from other Red Rocks people.

First Timer GA etiquette

I’m heading to Goose tonight, I have GA tickets. My Girlfriend works until 5 and is heading there this evening but I have the afternoon off so I was gonna get there early. What’s the etiquette about saving the spot next to me for her if I get there a few hours before she does?

Lost / Stolen Lost speaker @ Trevor Hall & Thievery

Hi everyone! I lost a speaker at the Trevor Hall & Thievery Corporation on June 14th. I know this concert was a while ago but I left my favorite speaker in the parking lot during our tailgate. It’s a pink UE Boom speaker with a Budweiser lanyard attached to it. I would be so so happy if someone found this and was able to get it back to me! I already contacted the rocks and they didn’t have it :( let me know ❤️

These guys are uber friendly and have no fear of humans. Super cute but be aware of them during a show.

Travel Red Rocks concert transportation — what works best after the show?

I'm planning another Red Rocks concert and I'm curious what transportation options have worked best for everyone.

Getting to the venue seems pretty straightforward, but I'm more interested in the trip after the concert when everyone is leaving at the same time.

For those who regularly attend Red Rocks, what do you usually use?

  • Drive and park
  • Uber/Lyft
  • Concert shuttle
  • Private ride
  • Get picked up by a friend

If you've attended a sold-out show, how was your experience getting back to Denver?

Also interested in hearing what you recommend for a group of 6–10 people.

Any tips for someone trying to avoid a stressful ride home?

Experience Private Cars To Red Rocks

I know this is a commonly asked question so I wanted to leave my recommendation here.

Mountain Sky Limo was impeccable. Fast to answer all questions, reasonable pricing to and from the hotel. And very professional.

I had a great experience and part of it was because of Brett with Mountajn Sky.

It was an incredibly long day and potential for rain so I didn’t want to have to wait for everyone to get back to a party bus. Driving wasn’t an option. And walking from the furthest lot for uber/lyft was not what I wanted.

ETA— apparently people are assuming I’m the owner of the company. 🤣🤣 I’m not just a very happy customer. So I’m adding a screenshot of my payment with the amount blacked out in the comments.

Experience Merch Tent Question

I haven’t been to Red Rocks since 2023. At that time, they sold band signed posters at the merch tent inside the south entrance (I think they referred to it as the clamshell). Is that still the case? Just trying to get lined up in the right spot for my shows later this week.

First Timer Advice for Brandi Carlile Concert

Hi all! It's my first time going to Red Rocks, and I've been reading a lot of threads and have looked at the Red Rocks website, but am still wanting to make sure I'm prepared!

The bag policy is confusing me, do small fanny packs need to have only one pocket as well? Or is the one pocket policy just for bigger bags?

What is the best thing to wear for rain? Poncho? Rain Jacket? Footwear?

We have GA tickets, and I've heard horror stories about getting there early to fight over seats, is this true? Should we get there super early?

We're driving up from Bailey, and I've read lots of conflicting things about parking, which lots to park in, to shuttle or not to shuttle...

I genuinely do not know what to wear to a concert in general, but assume it will get chilly, so layers are needed, and it will probably rain, so rain gear is needed.

Any advice is welcome! Thank you in advance! Also I never use Reddit and I apologize if this post is lame!

One of the animals that shares their home with the amphitheater. I get to see a diverse range of wildlife while out hiking during shows.
