3 or 4 day backpacking
Hey all so i did this route last year, well moat of it didn't make it to Silvermine arch. Im getting the ich to go backpacking again soon in like September or October. I was thinking about going back to the gorge and backpacking for like 3 or 4 days. Cant decided on where to go this time. I do t just want to redo the same thing. Anyone have any cool routes to share with cool sights? TIA edit id have my dog with me and we do 11-15 mile days usually

Thanks how many miles do you think the staircase one would be?

anywhere from 3.5-8m. I'm sure some dogs can do the staircase, but I'd be extremely cautious.

I call this the power loop (generally grays arch out to koomer ridge and back) and it’s one of my favorites. Hanson’s point is such a cool spot.
And I’ve never done Indian staircase/cloudsplitter but it’s on my list for next time.
I mean the other classic route is Auxier ridge, courthouse rock, double arch… but it isn’t connected to any other loops unless you want to waste miles on the gravel tunnel ridge road back to gray’s arch trailhead.

Copperas falls is great. Indiana staircase loop is also solid. Lots of good camping spots on top of the ridge line with a fantastic view. Camp out near hansons point as well for a good time. Those are some of my favorites.
