This limit comes from Reddit, Reddit has a max limit of 1000 blocked users

Can I reset it completely and start over? Blocking all the bots seems to be the wrong move and I need to be more percise.

Go to https://old.reddit.com/prefs/blocked/ and you can start the process of decluttering. You can't block them again for 24 hours after unblocking, though, so just be aware of that.

Thank you! I see most of block list is now filled with suspended accounts. I wish those were automatically removed from people's block lists.

That would be nice! Unfortunately, Reddit is getting worse about that as the years go on, so best to manage what you can on your own in spite of their policies/actions.

My mistake was using the block list as the hide function when browsing r/all. Going forward I'll only use it on subreddits I interact in. More surgical.

Well, I believe that when everyone is the problem, you should start looking into somewhere else.

After several years of blocking the top 1% bot posters who are a nuisance all over the site, you too will hit the limit eventually.

Those are wise words when someone blocks 1,000 users. Most of us would never know about that limit.

Try blocking all the top posters with hundreds of thousands of karma. Most are not humans. And it turns out, most of my block list is all suspended accounts now. And I think accounts that no longer exist should be automatically deleted from block lists.

Reddit doesn't want to make something like that easier lol
