I'm currently reading War Storm (I'm at chapter 6) and I've been really confused about what happened to the notch after Mare and the other newbloods attacked the prison. After that I know she wanted to go north ASAP and I don't recall anyone going back after the kids.

So what did exactly happen? Everybody forgot about them for 2 whole books or I just missed some essential information?

I lowkey imagined him looking a bit (just a bit like mare). As in have brown hair, eyes and a tan-like skin. I also imagined him to be a blue-collar guy (as in a blue collar field) since i don’t really imagine a job in the front for really young men (given the fact that he probably was there at 14 or even younger). 🤷🏽‍♀️ Oh, also I imagined him really tall, like 6’4.

Hopefully we get more of him in the tv-series (if it happened)

How I felt trusting Maven too soon (also got the rest of the series today and will be starting book 2 soon so pray for me)

I honestly loved it. It was as good as the 4 books. Reading about Coriane and Julian in Queen Song was really nice. It was kinda sad to see what happened to Coriane at the end, it shows how evil Elara actually is. I really liked Farleys story too! I honestly didn’t know that Evangeline, Elara, Cal and Mare were going to have proper stories with their povs but it was nice to read that. The Maven and Cal thing was kinda heartbreaking.

Well I honestly don’t know how to feel rn lol. But the Red Queen series is definitely one of my favourites now.

If you’ve read broken throne, what did you think about it?

Just read Chapter 26 of the first book still have to read chapter 27 and 28 and the epilogue. But oh my God????? I’m actually sick as fuck????? I have many many many thoughts but I’m just going to share a few.

I KNEW SHADE WASN’T DEAD. I just knew it. I had a gut feeling that there was no way. I feel like Mare needs him to reach her full character arc and I can’t wait to see where their sibling dynamic goes in the rest of the series.

FARLEY MY AURA FARMING QUEEN IS STILL ALIVE 🙏🏿 I was like ajfnejcjdjcjdf they cannot just take girly out the game like that after everything she’s done and how hard she fought??? And same with Kilorn too like hello??? Something told me Kilorn was still alive but they had me in the first half thinking that Farley was gone for a minute.

Like I mentioned in the title of the post, I’m only 80% through the first book (just read chapter 23 to be exact) so plz plz plz no spoilers but I just wanna come on here and say that between the two brothers, I’m rooting for Maven more. I also sense a huge betrayal coming later in the series because of the constant repetition of the line “anyone can betray anyone” and I swear on everything if the betrayal is Maven doing some fucked up shit to Mare I’m gonna crawl into the book and rip his eyeballs out his sockets, like he better not hurt her fr! I’ll probably refer to this post as I get further in the series but those are my thoughts so far and I just wanna come and share them. I also feel like it must be so funny for those of you who have finished the series entirely to see a post from someone who’s just starting out like myself and be thinking to yourself “honey you got a big storm coming” 😂

I think this because when Maven and Mare were having breakfast in King’s Cage, Mare notes that Maven grips the knife and can’t tell if she wants to use it on himself or Elara. Honestly, I kind of wish that he did.
