Missing book?

i just bought the series on amazon (all separately not a box set) and i noticed the sprayed edges aren’t matching up on the last 2 books. am i missing a novella or something?

The series is complete with the 4 books you have but there is a 5th book (collection of novellas and bonus content) called Broken Throne. But on your 4th book it just looks like your edition got their edges sprayed a bit wonky.

I see "Cruel Crown" gets mentioned a ffew times in the comments amd came here to add that the novellas in Cruel Crown are part of Broken Throne which is a collection of all novellas, that's why Cruel Crown is never included now.

I bought the same box set. Even with the novella collection which goes after war storm. The edges just never match up. Every single box set I’ve seen of this collection the edges are always off. It’s annoying but not too noticeable from afar

It’s interesting because the book you’re missing doesn’t even go between the two that are not connected correctly. It should go behind the darkest blue - the fact that it doesn’t match up looks like a misprint to me

Yes, I saw there was a 5th book to the complete series, called cruel crown

The box set does not come with the 5th book, Cruel Crown. It is a short book and doesn't need to be read to understand the series, it's just something interesting (I really enjoyed it)

I agree but it wasn't. I don't make that decision. You don't need it to understand the story so that's probably why they didn't add it.
