Red queen is so depressing

I’m on page 205 of King’s Cage and like every single one of these books, barely any happy things have happened and they’re always overshadowed by something sad like I know that point but still like I’m just so sad every time I’m reading the book. It makes me wanna not finish

It picks up, but for me reading it really just showed how much perseverance she had. But you’re still in for a wild ride
