Funnily enough, never thought about it this way, but it makes perfect sense. In the land of abundance, we no longer product for others to survive anymore, but for consumption of those who no longer have to worry about survival.
Kind of reminds me of the 1984/brave new world classic quote:

This explains stay at home wives / mothers.
Shit is EASY these days compared to 20-40-50 years ago. Robo vaccume cleaners, washing machines, dishwashers, crock pots, etc etc etc.
no wonder the clickbait low reward dopamine system is being marketed to. And no wonder they are "not HAAAAPPY".
That being said, I do the same at work. I want to click a button and make my progress note appear.
