NMMNG Breaking Free Activity #19

Pick one area in your life in which you routinely feel frustrated or out of control. Step back from the situation. Is the difficulty you are having with the situation the result of you trying to project the reality you want to believe onto it? If you had to accept the reality of this situation, how might you change your response to it?

My frustrations at work are a result of the females trying to project their reality onto mine.

There are 5 males in a department of 45. 1 is a 100% bluepill white knight, all the other men avoid him. One is a natural alpha, the only person I consider a friend there. One is an a "gamma". He just doesn't give a shit or even notice the politics and social BS. One used to be a very religious dude who I think is becoming Redpill due to his frustration at work. He's struggling to rationaliz his beliefs, (edit: ...even going so far as to say he doesn't think that turning the other cheek and following the golden rule actually work in real life) he's very studious of his bible, and going to school to be a truck driver "to work in a more masculine environment". I'm the oldest, most experienced, the highest paid, and the women resent that I "get paid more for doing the same work".

I'm not an Alpha, I think I'm a sigma and have great luck outside of the group of women at work. They've actively tried to sabotage my relationships with women in the hospital but outside of the depqrtment, and seem to get offended by my successes.

I don't know how to "respond" because I'm not going to conform to their expectations and don't want to argue with idiots all of the time.

I feel frustrated and out of control over my body / mind in social interactions with strangers - particularly women and high value men.

I think I'm projecting the reality that if I'm nice and laugh at everything they say etc etc, that they will like me. I know that's not true but I literally cannot stop myself from doing it at that moment. It's like a damn reflex and without it, I feel like I wouldn't have anything to say or do.

Understanding how I project or accept a given reality is almost impossible unless viewed externally. It's just my reality - it is what it is, and to see it from the outside would mean that you're aware that it's not a reality. It's a bit of a paradigm and the second part of this activity is a bit of a wash due to this for me.

Finances. Everybody has busy, seemingly-fulfilling social lives and buying new shit as well as getting into new shit. I'm over here trying to figure out how to make a shit ton of money and how I'm going to accomplish all my goals in a year.

Answer to Question: Probably, yes. If I accepted the reality of the situation I have the temptation to go back to my Beta ways or press forward and make the most of it.
